Questions about Couple Counselling...

What is my main counselling qualification? It's a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling from Strathclyde University. Totally, I have around 1,500 hours of training and 10 years of experience. I am a BACP accredited counsellor.

How do I keep my Couple Counselling knowledge and skills up-to-date? Every year, I engage in at least 30 hours of CPD (Continuing Professional Development)

How much does it cost? Couple Counselling costs 60 per hour. Click the payment link to make a PayPal payment.

What happens if a session is missed, or is cancelled without 24 hours notice? There is no refund for missed or short-cancelled sessions. Don't use e-mail to cancel sessions - I won't get your message in time.

Can counselling be stopped or ended anytime? Yes, although a final "ending" session is often beneficial.

Do we have to come every week? No. Couples often come weekly for the first few sessions, and then switch to having a session every 2 or 3 weeks. The choice is yours - you'll know when it feels right. You're also welcome to "stop and start" as you please.

How long will it take? No one really knows. Often, 3 to 6 sessions can be very beneficial. It can also take longer.

How many sessions do we have to come for? You are under no obligation to attend a fixed number of sessions.

Am I connected to other Glasgow counselling organisations? No, I'm fully private. (Anyone can come)

Is counselling confidential? Generally, everything you tell a counsellor is confidential. Exceptions to confidentiality are extremely rare, and will be explained before our first session.

What are my specific Couple Counselling Qualifications? I have completed several couple-specific counselling courses both here in the UK and internationally. I'll be happy to provide further details if you like.

What are my Ethical Standards? I am an accredited member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists) and I follow their Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling. I meet BACP requirements for monthly supervision.

Who do I see? I see couples of all races, religions, nationalities, and sexual orientations. All are welcome!
