My initial session lasts 90 minutes for which my fee is £110.
Thereafter I charge a rate of £80 per hour, pro rata (appointments are usually around 90 minutes initially depending on what work we are doing)
There is a supplement of £20 for all evening, weekend and public holiday appointments.
There is a £50 deposit to secure initial appointment which may be paid by SumUp payment link. Deposit will be deducted from initial appointment fee or refunded if appointment is cancelled with more than 48 hours notice.
You may pay by cash or card at our session or by bank transfer or payment link before your session.
We explore this history of your relationship and what’s bringing you along. I will help with anything I can in that appointment and also recommend what work I think will be helpful for you. Sometimes that includes individual sessions as well as couple appointments and sometimes it’s all couple work.
Missed or cancelled appointments will incur the full session fee (though if I am able to refill your appointment I will not charge you).
Yes and unlike some organisations you do not have to commit to a minimum number of sessions.
Couples often come weekly or fortnightly for the first few sessions, and then switch to having a session every 3 or 4 weeks. The choice is yours - you'll know what feels right. You're also welcome to "stop and start" as you please. Once you’ve accessed Counselling it becomes a resource you can use as and when.
4 to 6 sessions can be very beneficial and it can also take much longer and sometimes shorter, it really depends on a number of factors.
The initial session is 90 minutes, appointments are often longer when you start couples counselling and reduce to around 60 minutes when the relationship feels better.
No, I'm fully private and independent.
Yes. Exceptions to confidentiality are extremely rare.
I am an accredited member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists) and I follow their Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling. I meet BACP requirements for monthly supervision.
I see individuals, couples and families of all races, religions, nationalities, and sexual orientations. All are welcome!
